WP Cloud Server Plugin - Documentation
The ‘WP Cloud Server’ plugin is available as a download from the plugin page on this website, or can be installed from the WordPress plugin directory inside your WordPress Dashboard.
Install from the WordPress Plugin Directory
If you log-in to your WordPress Dashboard you should see a menu option, on the left, called ‘Plugins’. If you click this option you will be taken to your Plugin page which displays all of the plugins that your site has installed.
At the top of the page, next to the title you should see a button called ‘Add New’. If you click this button then you will be taken to the ‘Add Plugins’ page.
The ‘Add Plugins’ page gives you access to all of the plugins in the WordPress Directory. In order to find the ‘WP Cloud Server’ plugin go to the search box on the right-hand side of the page and type in ‘WP Cloud Server’. Note that at the moment, with it being new, it won’t show at the top of the list you need to go to about the third page!
Once you find it just click ‘Install Now’, wait for the button to change to ‘Activate’, and click the button. Congratulations once the process completes you have the ‘WP Cloud Server’ plugin installed and activated.
If you click on ‘Plugins’ in the left-hand menu you will be taken back to the list of plugins on your site. ‘WP Cloud Server’ will be at the bottom of the page. You should also notice a new menu item called ‘WP Cloud Server’. Clicking this option will take you into the plugin pages, where you can create and manage servers and services.
Upload to Your WordPress Directory via FTP/SFTP
This method provides another approach to installing the plugin, but it’s not as easy as installing it from the WordPress Plugin Directory. This relies on you having a Website Hosting provider who allows you to use FTP or SFTP. We will assume here that you will likely know if you have this facility or not!
The process involves connecting in to your sites FTP connection and using an application such as ‘Cyberduck’, to upload the plugins zip file. It needs to be uploaded into the ‘plugins’ folder under ‘wp-content’ in your WordPress install directory.
If this is your only method of installing plugins and you are having problems then please contact us. We will be happy to help.
